The MX391 boundary microphone has been specially developed for spaces like the conference room, meeting room, video conferences or courtroom. The ease of use has been made as smooth and convenient as possible, down to the four-metre long cable that can be unscrewed so that the microphone can simply be directly connected to a preamp.

This Shure-developed range of microphones has been made available pre-fitted with various microphone capsules, each with a different pickup pattern. The MX391 is available with cardioid, supercardioid, and omni-directional pickup patterns, so that you're able to select the optimum tool for a specific job. To limit feedback as much as possible, the cardioid or supercardioid versions are recommended. While, if everything in the room needs to be registered and recorded, then the omnidirectional version is recommended. Another bonus is that, if you go for the cardioid version and find that the situation sometimes demands an omnidirectional recording pattern, the microphone capsules can be bought separately and easily removed and replaced, making the MX391 thoughtfully flexible.
