Digital pianos come in increasingly slim housings, but Korg decided to make one even more compact, by reducing the keyboard's size. The result, the Korg LP-380 73 (here featured with a Cream-Black finish), has 73 instead of the usual 88 keys, decreasing the keyboard's width by 22 cm, but still offering enough keys to play nearly any piano piece. As such this compact instrument just might fit in your small studio apartment or sparsely decorated living room.

LP-380 73 CB: life-like

Whether you've just taken up piano lessons, or are a more experienced player, it's important to find an instrument that offers a natural sound and an authentic, pleasant playing feel. To that end, Korg has developed the Real Weighted Hammer Action 3 keyboard, which realistically emulates the hammer response of an acoustic piano. Additionally, the LP-380 73 is equipped with life-like samples of pianos and other instruments, and recreates the rich resonance that is produced when a sustain pedal is pressed down. The digital piano is supplied with a stand and a complete set of three pedals.

Practical features

Not only does the LP-380 73 CB sound and feel great, it boasts a number of useful digital features too. Like the regular LP-380, it has a built-in metronome, 30 demo songs, effects like reverb and chorus, transpose and tuning functions, a Layer mode and a Partner mode. The latter divides the keyboard into two equal parts with the same pitch, so two players can practise the same piece simultaneously. In that case, the outer two pedals both serve as independent sustain pedals. Would you like to blend two different sounds? It's possible - just press two instrument buttons at the same time. When you're done playing, just close the keyboard lid (which doubles as a music stand) and the piano takes on the appearance of a slim side table.
