One of Fender's most iconic guitar amplifiers now comes in a limited edition Fudge Brownie guise. This '65 Deluxe Reverb combo received the renowned Fender Special Run makeover. For instance, its black cover has been replaced with the classic brown tolex and the Blackface-style control panel has been swapped for a dark-brown version. The silver-coloured grille cloth made room for a 'wheat' version with a beautiful golden-brown colour.

Not just the colour-scheme changed, this special edition of the '65 Deluxe Reverb was fitted with a new speaker. Fender opted for a 12-inch Jensen P12Q Alnico speaker for sparkling, articulate cleans and a crunchy distortion. This speaker is driven by four 12AX7 preamp tubes and a two 6V6 (together 22 watts) power amp tubes to ensure that distinctively warm, clear and dynamic Fender guitar sound.

Two channels and analogue effects

The Fender '65 Deluxe Reverb Fudge Brownie FSR has two channels with two instrument inputs each. The Normal is a straightforward channel with a volume, bass and treble control and delivers warm, sultry sounds that are perfect for jazz. The Vibrato channel adds a tube-driven, analogue Reverb and Vibrato, ideal for that characteristic '60s surf-rock sound. Both effects can be remotely turned on and off with the accessory foot switch.
