The American Special Stratocaster is a high-quality American-made Fender for a reasonable price. This metallic red electric guitar has the traditional Strat features, like a comfortably shaped alder body, a bolt-on maple neck, three single-coil pickups and a vintage style tremolo bridge, for instance. Several modern upgrades, however, provide an even more comfortable playing experience. The body features Fender's classic Candy Apple Red finish and the heavier, large '70s-style headstock provides extra sustain. This guitar comes including a luxury carrier bag and polishing cloth.

American Special Stratocaster: made to be played

This electric guitar was designed to provide the utmost playing comfort. The back of its neck has a satin finish, allowing your hand to slide along the neck smoothly and with great ease without sticking. Thanks to the relatively high and wide jumbo frets it is easier to make bigger bends. What is more, 22 frets provide an extra tone that you can bend up an entire note to a complete second octave. Finally, the 9.5-inch fretboard radius combines the comfortable barre chords of a vintage radius with the effortless bends of a modern flat radius.

Texas Specials and Greasebucket tone circuit

The American Special Stratocaster has been equipped with nothing less than Fender Custom Shop Texas Special pickups. These three alnico 5 single-coils produce that famous Texas blues sound that is characterised by its fierce mids, crystal clear trebles and tight basses. The extra windings of the pickups also provide a higher output and a more powerful, fatter sound. Fender's special Greasebucket tone circuit allows you to filter out the trebles, via the two tone knobs, without adding bass. In other words, the sound of your guitar won't get muddy when you filter out the trebles.
