The classic sounds of the American Standard Precision Bass

The latest version of this guitar - here in a Mystic Red finish and with a rosewood fretboard - still retains the classic P-Bass sound thanks to its Custom Shop '60s Precision Bass split single-coil pickup. Combined with the alder body and the modern massive bridge, a balanced, full tone with a clear midrange and fat basses is produced. What's more, the American P-Bass is now more comfortable than ever before. Its fretboard is pleasantly flat and the medium frets are comfortably high.

Guitars and bass guitars from the American Standard series

The professional American Standard series comprises the most recent, US-built versions of Fender's four most famous guitars: Stratocaster, Telecaster, Precision Bass and Jazz Bass. They all feature a quality ash or alder body, an average-gauge C-profile maple neck and a relatively flat maple or rosewood fretboard, as well as a reliable, sustain-enhancing bridge and (often) Custom Shop pickups for the classic Fender sound.
