Are you on the lookout for a Strat that is able to produce both a vintage and a bigger, modern sound? Then Fender has just the thing for you, with the HSS version of the American Standard Stratocaster. In addition to two single-coils, this American Fat Strat is equipped with a powerful humbucker pickup that is especially well suited for rougher guitaring. The neck of this guitar is made completely out of maple, providing a tighter, clearer tone than a rosewood version would. The alder body has a beautiful Jade Pearl Metallic finish, Fender's latest colour. It comes with a case and accessories, what more can you want?

American Standard Stratocaster: today's Strat

The look of the Stratocaster hasn't changed much since 1954, but its components however, have. This American Standard Strat HSS is fully equipped to meet the demands of modern guitarists. For instance, its neck features a two-way truss rod, 22 medium jumbo frets and a 9.5-inch radius for effortless bends. Its special staggered tuners provide more pressure on the string nut, without using a second string guide, resulting in less friction and a more stable tuning. The bridge has also been modernised. It might look like a vintage tremolo, but it has just two points that hold it to the body, ensuring better tuning stability.

HSS pickup configuration with the Delta Tone system

A special feature of the edition is its set of Fender Custom Shop pickups. The American Standard Stratocaster HSS is equipped with two Fat '50s single coils and a Diamondback humbucker. The single-coils produce a beautiful vintage sound with a bit more output and bass than a traditional Strat pickup. The humbucker has more gain and a bigger, fuller sound that is excellently suited for blues, rock, or even metal. The special Delta Tone potentiometer functions as a normal tone control in positions 1 - 9, but takes itself out of the circuit in position 10, giving you a purer, rawer sound from the bridge pickup.
