Fender have fully adapted their first electric guitar to meet the demands of modern guitarists. The result? The American Standard Telecaster. This guitar has the same classic looks as the legendary fifties Tele but was fitted with several upgrades, making it fully modern once more. For one, the back of the body now features a Stratocaster-style contour for more comfort. Also, the American Standard Telecaster is equipped with exclusive Fender Custom Shop pickups. Additionally, the alder body was given a thinner coat of paint to improve its resonance. This is the Ocean Blue Metallic version with a rosewood fretboard. There is also a maple-fretboard version for slightly more bite. This guitar comes with a case, a guitar strap, an instrument cable and a polishing cloth.

American Standard Telecaster: modern day quality

Beneath this Tele's classic looks lurks a bit of proper modern technology. It has a Bi-flex truss rod so that the entire neck can be made more concave or more convex. Thanks to the Micro-Tilt adjustment it is easy to alter the angle of the neck, which is very useful if you can't turn the steel bridge saddles any higher or lower. The tuners are staggered, eliminating the need for a second string guide and thus providing less friction with more tuning stability. The pickups of the Fender American Standard Telecaster Ocean Blue Metallic RW are a Custom Shop Twisted Tele at the neck and a Custom Shop Broadcaster in the bridge position. These are two high-end single coils that produce the timeless Tele sound more powerful and fatter than ever.

Distinctive and timeless Telecaster sound

More than any other classic electric guitar, the Telecaster takes the limelight with an undeniably characteristic sound that is defined by a clear and sparkling trebles and warm, balanced mids. In addition to the excellent Custom Shop pickups, the one-piece maple neck and solid alder body (with its thin layer of lacquer) create a rich resonance throughout the entire instrument. The Fender Telecaster is mostly associated with country music. But, as rock, blues, funk and even jazz guitarists can confirm, the Tele is capable of producing a wide range of versatile sounds that have the power to conquer any musical genre.
