The Postmodern NOS Stratocaster Dakota Red MN is built in Fender's Custom Shop. This top-quality guitar has the looks of a vintage guitar and the feel of a modern Strat. The neck is made of quarter sawn maple and has a round laminated maple fretboard with a compound radius from 9.5 to 12 inches and 21 narrow jumbo frets. This offers optimal playing comfort whether you're playing chords low on the neck or bends in higher positions. The body is made of a lovely lightweight ash, which gives this Fender solid body its clear and balanced core sound, with a true Stratocaster spank.

Postmodern NOS Stratocaster Dakota Red MN: Custom Shop Fat '60 and Tone Saver

Fender fitted this Postmodern solid body with three Custom Shop Fat '60s extra wound single-coils. These produce a board spectrum of Stratocaster sounds. The middle pickup is reverse wound with reverse polarity. This prevents the well-known 60 cycle hum when the 5-way position switch is in position 2 or 4. The volume potentiometer features a Tone Saver treble-bleed circuit, which keeps the Fender NOS Strat's sound bright even at low volume.

Custom Shop Postmodern Series NOS

With the Postmodern Series, the Fender Custom Shop's goal is to produce classic guitar models like the Stratocaster and Telecaster with the latest features. All of the models have a round laminated fretboard made of maple or rosewood, with a compound radius that goes from 9.5 to 12 inches for optimal playing comfort. The NOS versions have a 'New Old Stock' finish. This means that you get a modern electric guitar with the characteristics of a vintage guitar, without the visual wear and tear of the Relic models.
