Fender offers a hybrid between a high-quality Deluxe Stratocaster and a MIDI controller with their Fender Fishman TriplePlay Stratocaster HSS. This solid-body is equipped with three top-shelf pickups as well as a wireless MIDI interface. Additionally, it features a built-in USB audio interface, allowing for direct coupling with a PC, Mac of laptop. The included software makes it incredibly easy to convert your play to sheet music, and the digital editing of your DAW takes very little effort. This way, you can use the Fender as a controller for your DAW samples. Pianos, strings or perhaps even drums, you can play them all with this high-tech Fender.

Fishman TriplePlay system

We know the Fishman company from the electronic components they make for electro-acoustic guitars. This Fender features a Hex pickup, along with a TriplePlay D-pad controller and a MIDI volume control. The wireless controller is built in at the back. This system sends the tones of your guitar to your computer as a MIDI signal via the accessory USB receiver. A USB drive with the required software is also included to integrate your Fender in a digital studio environment.

Properties of the guitar

Naturally, this Fender is also a straightforward excellent guitar. It's made of alder and has a classic, 3-colour Sunburst finish. The neck is made of maple and features 22 medium jumbo frets. The vintage-style tremolo bridge is highly stable and feels very familiar to the experienced Strat player. An exceptionally striking feature is the large, '70s-style headstock. This guitar has an HSS pickup configuration with a Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates humbucker in the bridge position for a warm, raw, bluesy sound and a bit more output than a vintage humbucker. Two Vintage Noiseless pickups let you reap the benefits of the clarity and sharpness of a single coil, without the dreaded hum.
