Here's something for die-hard Nirvana fans! This left-handed Fender Kurt Cobain Jaguar is a second-hand trade-in, but it is still - apart from some original wear, scratches and dents - as good as new. It is a tribute to the late singer and guitarist of one of the most iconic grunge bands from the early '90s. The guitar is a reproduction of Kurt's modified, battered, left-handed 1965 Jaguar, complete with all the dents, scratches, humbuckers and active electronics. This second-hand instrument comes with its original Fender G&G case.
Characteristics of the Kurt Cobain Jaguar 3-colour Sunburst
This guitar has a '65-style asymmetrical alder Jaguar body and a bolt-on (24-inch scale length) Stratocaster-type maple neck. Its fretboard boasts 22 medium jumbo frets, a 9.5-inch radius and white bindings. The headstock is fitted with six high-quality Gotoh machine heads and sports a '50-style Fender spaghetti logo. Additionally, the guitar is equipped with a modern, Adjusto-Matic bridge and a vintage-style Jaguar locking tremolo. The Kurt Cobain Jaguar underwent Fender's Road Worn treatment, which artificially ages the hardware as well as the lacquer on the body and headstock.
DiMarzio humbuckers and unique electronics
Just like the original, the Fender Kurt Cobain Jaguar is equipped with two wicked DiMarzio humbucker pickups. A DP100 Super Distortion in the bridge position for rougher guitaring and a DP103 36th Anniversary PAF at the neck ensure a warmer vintage tone. Above the neck pickup is a small slider switch that allows you to choose between the Lead and the Rhythm circuit. When the slide switch is down it engages the two volume knobs, tone knob and three-position pickup switch. When it is up, only the neck pickup is used, and you can use the two horizontal thumbwheel controls to adjust both volume and tone.
