The AEL body is the largest size in the Ibanez series and is an excellent choice for those who desire a wide and natural acoustic sound. Once plugged in, this electro-acoustic guitar with Fishman pickup and Ibanez preamp, gives you a fresh waterfall of acoustic tones that never sound rough or too thin but instead, produce a warm, bright sound, fit for any stage.
Ibanez AEL40SE-RLV: spruce top
The body of the Ibanez AEL40SE-RLV has a top made of solid spruce. The sides and back are made of flamed maple and as a result of this combination of wood types, this steel-string guitar produces a full, direct and clear sound. The neck is made of mahogany and has a rosewood fretboard with Wood Vine inlays. The bridge is made of rosewood and is equipped with Ibanez Advantage bridge pins. The AEL40SE-RLV has gold-coloured die-cast tuners and D'Addario EXP strings. An abalone rosette, low-gloss finish on the top and the Vintage Violin Low-Gloss lacquer on the sides and back, really complete the characteristic appearance of this electro-acoustic western guitar.
Fishman Sonicore and Ibanez SST: pickup and preamp
The Ibanez AEL40SE-RLV is equipped with a Fishman Sonicore pickup in combination with the Ibanez SST preamplifier. As a result, you have a well-amplified guitar on stage as well as in the studio that perfectly reproduces the natural sound of an acoustic guitar. The Ibanez SST preamp has a 3-band equalizer (bass, treble, mids), a phase reverse for the reduction of feedback, volume control and a digital tuner. There's also a Shape Shifter function with which you can easily add subtle details to your sound. Next to the standard jack output you can find a balanced XLR output for a direct connection to a PA setup.
