Ibanez has always described the Artwood series as 'a modern approach to acoustic guitar tradition'. With the Artwood Vintage series, Ibanez delves even deeper into that tradition, all the way back to the original construction of the acoustic guitar. The AVNK14LTD is a classical, compact parlour-sized western guitar which is based on the AVN1. The difference is that the body of this Limited Edition is made entirely of beautiful flamed Hawaiian Koa wood. Delivery of the AVNK14LTD includes an Ibanez case.
Ibanez AVNK14LTD: solid top parlour
This steel-string acoustic guitar has a solid top. The advantage of a solid top, compared to a laminated top, is that the guitar will sound fuller, richer and warmer. This is really beneficial to a parlour guitar, which by itself sounds rather bright and clear. With its comfortable V-shaped mahogany neck and 18-fret rosewood fretboard, the Ibanez AVNK14LTD always has a balanced low, mid and high.
Western guitar with luxury details
In addition to a solid top made of Hawaiian Koa wood, the Ibanez AVNK14LTD also features other luxury details. For instance, along the body you can find a purfling of coloured abalone. The rosette around the sound hole and the elegant position markers in the fretboard are also made of abalone. The guitar retains its tuning very well thanks to a set of gold-plated Grover open-back tuners with classic Butterbean knobs. Playing standing up will never be a problem either, as the guitar is fitted with a second strap button.
