Judging by its sound and feel, you can hardly tell that you are dealing with a digital piano. The Roland HP-506 PE (Polished Ebony) is a chic-looking model with a polished black finish and various modern features. Compared to the older HP models, its PHA-4 keyboard is an important enhancement, as it accurately registers the force of your strokes, enabling you to play with incredible expression. The keys of this concert edition feel like the ebony and ivory keys of a real, acoustic piano. The tried SuperNATURAL sound generator provides you with the convincing sounds of both grand pianos and upright models.
The spacious sound of the HP-506 PE
One feature that takes the HP-506 a step beyond the HP-504 is the Acoustic Projection System. This built-in, multi-speaker sound system projects your sound from various angles, cleverly producing a life-like, spacious effect. The 3D Ambience effect, which is featured on all recent HP models, enables you to enjoy a realistic, spacious effect when wearing headphones as well. The HP-506 also features a Dynamic Harmonic function - when you are playing fortissimo, the digital piano produces a sound that matches the force of your strokes in both volume and timbre. Would you like to fully adapt the piano to the acoustics of the room? Simply adjust each individual note by means of the Individual Note Voicing functionality.
Record your performance and practise wirelessly
Do you own an iPad? Connect the optional Roland Wireless USB Adapter and you're able to use the practical Piano Partner app. It gives you quick access to the sounds and songs of the Roland HP-506 and serves as a fun practise tool for children. Also available is the Air Performer app, which allows you to play back the songs of the playlists on your iPod Touch, iPad or iPhone via the speakers of the piano, enabling you to play along. It is possible to play along the WAV or MIDI files on a USB stick as well. You can also use the USB port to record your playing as a WAV or MIDI file on a USB memory device, or, for the HP-506 and HP-508 only, to store your Individual Note Voicings.
