The Showtec Multidim is a popular unit for all kinds of occasions, as it allows you to dim various conventional projection spotlights or to switch 230V gear on or off via a DMX line. For rental applications you also need a set of faders that can be easily controlled on the device itself, however. As per usual, Showtec provides a solution - in this case with the Multidim Local Control.

Concept of the Local Control dimmer

The Multidim Local Control is based on the technology, functionality and design of the regular Multidim, but it has the added utility of four faders that allow you to adjust the intensity of each channel. This can be highly practical for stands at a fair, for shop windows, bars and restaurants, museums, and all kinds of locations that are fitted with conventional lighting that needs a bit of dimming. Each channel can take a maximum of 5 A and the total capacity is 16 A. This is more than enough power for an average set of PAR 56 armatures.
