This LAL145 Super Aluminium snare drum is part of Tama's Sound Lab Project. Every snare drum in this series is made with a certain type of player in mind, and has its own distinct sound! The 1.6mm thick aluminium shell has a ridge in the center and an internal 15mm flanged edge. Combined with the 20-strand Starclassic Carbon Steel Snappy Snares and triple-flanged Sound Arc hoops, that gives this snare drum a crisp, vintage sound with great sustain. With its 14 x 5-inch size, this is a very versatile snare drum as well, and it should fit right into many different set-ups. Do note however, that this is a remarkably powerful snare, which is unusual for an aluminium drum.
