TASCAM has taken a good look at the CD-A500 and redesigned the CD player/cassette deck. This new model uses the TEAC CD-5020A mechanism, which ensures enhanced CD tray operation and a low clamping noise.
Another new feature of the CD-A550 is the option to play back MP3 and WAV files. Additionally, the professional player displays CD-Text on screen and features Auto Cue and Auto Ready. Both the CD player and the cassette deck are equipped with pitch control.
The CD-A550 is equipped with a digital output and with unbalanced phono inputs and outputs, and features power on playback and record functionality, Dolby B noise reduction and a shock-proof CD memory. The Tascam CD player/cassette deck is supplied with a remote control and can be mounted in a rack.
