Yamaha SCB2FS5NW: a reliable rock set

The Yamaha SCB2FS5-NW consists of a 22-inch bass drum, a 16-inch floor tom, a 10 and a 12-inch tom and a 14-inch snare. The larger-than-average kick drum and floor tom give this Standard set a heavier sound that's perfect for rock and the like. The drum set includes all the necessary hardware too: a robust kick drum pedal and sturdy stand, a snare stand, a hi-hat stand and two cymbal stands. All of the stands feature large rubber anti-sleep feet.

Birch

Birch is known for its clear, balanced sound. Anyone who drums in a band will notice that these sound qualities really make their drumming stand out among the other instruments. And because the wood is laminated 6-ply, the drums also get a lot of volume while still offering the drummer plenty of control over the sound. For optimal sustain, the toms are mounted with Yamaha's inventive YESS system.

YESS

The YESS system for the tom holders is a method whereby the toms are strategically mounted at a very small nodal point, and because this system ensures minimal mount-to-shell contact, the snares produce optimal vibration when played. Moreover, the toms are incredibly easy to position thanks to the practical ball mount and clamp. Another Yamaha touch can be found in the extra port holes in the bass drum, which allow excess air to escape and in turn improve the beater response.
