The AR-3000SD is a Roland audio recorder that is suitable for professional applications. The recorder has a black 1U rack-module design, offers various recording options and is compatible with both CompactFlash and SD memory cards. The AR-3000SD makes recordings with a resolution of up to 24 bits/96 kHz, ensuring a dynamic, natural audio registration, and allows for both playback and recording in MP3 and WAV format. Additionally, the recorder features a conventional MIDI I/O for recording and playback of Standard MIDI files. Audio signals are professionally transmitted via balanced analogue outputs (XLR and TRS jack) or via the AES/EBU connector.

This Roland recorder is highly suited for fixed installation. It is equipped with programmable timers and can be controlled via a LAN network. The Roland AR3000SD is ideal for shopping centres (for playback of background music), airports (planned playback of announcements and messages), amusement parks, museums and events. The Roland recorder is also a great choice for broadcasting applications - it fluently plays back jingles and other sound bites. Files can be triggered by means of a USB keypad, MIDI, LAN or via the RS-232C port.

Playback options

You can determine for yourself how you want the Roland AR-3000SD to play back its files. The Control Input connector and the RS-232C port give you full control. Direct Playback allows you to select one of the (max.) 4,000 phrases for playback, while Program Playback allows for a sequence of audio files. MIDI has been extensively implemented - complete MIDI phrases can be triggered by means of an external MIDI device - and full control from a computer is also an option. In short, the Roland AR-3000SD is an exceptionally versatile audio recorder and player with a low energy consumption and compact rack dimensions.
