Mad Professor's Kosmos is a powerful and compact effects pedal packed with different types of ambient reverb. In total, there are eleven programs to choose from including plate, room, spring, hall, three types of reverb with shimmer, two types of reverb with delay and two swell sounds. The swells can be controlled using the footswitch and when you hold it in you get the well-known freeze effect. All of the effects can also be adjusted using the on-board controls.

Kosmos: to boldly go...

In addition to the reverb selection dial, there are level, tone and time knobs, but it's the knob called control that deserves greater explanation. What it does depends on which type of reverb you've selected. For instance, it can adjust the ducking depth, the swell rise speed, the shimmer ratio or the delay level. Needless to say, all of these options give you plenty of possibilities to boldly go where no guitarist has gone before! When you need to come back down to earth, however, simply deactivate the pedal and because it's true bypass, your tone will no longer be affected at all.
