This limited-edition Sound Lab Project (a.k.a S.L.P.) by Tama is suitable for a wide variety of music styles where the snare plays a prominent role. It offers a dark, deep, powerful, complex sound thanks to the walnut shell and 8-inch depth.
Tama LGW148-GBW S.L.P. G-Walnut 14 x 8-inch snare
This snare's walnut shell is relatively thick at 9 mm. It's made up of 10 layers that are laminated together for optimal resonance. Its classic-looking hardware also contributes to this by minimising contact with the shell. The 10-hole Sound Arc hoop ensures a powerful attack, focused tone and tuning stability. To give this snare that big sound, Tama has equipped it with a broad snare wire mat that consists of thirty carbon-steel strings. This is a professional snare that's suitable for all genres, but particularly interesting for classical drummers and percussionists. This S.P.L walnut snare is available in a limited quantity only.
