This Tama Starclassic snare drum with chrome hardware is made of eight plies of maple, bringing the shell up to a total thickness of 14 millimetres. Maple has excellent tonal and resonant properties, and it produces a bright sound with excellent attack. And besides offering a great balance between mids and highs, it also emphasises the low-end. This snare drum features chrome hardware and comes in a Champagne Sparkle finish. All in all, it's the perfect addition to a Starclassic Maple shell set with the same finish.

With its 14-inch diameter and 6.5-inch depth, this snare drum is well-suited for all-round drummers. The die-cast hoops allow for a balanced, warm sound and ensure that your drum stays in tune for a long time. To help your drums stay in tune, the tension rods feature Hold Tight cup washers, which are fitted with rubber rings to prevent them from coming loose. The new Snappy Snares consist of 20 strands, and make better contact with the resonant head for a tighter and clearer sound. Furthermore, you can easily replace the resonant head without having to completely remove your snare wires. Simply remove two screws and the snare wires will come off, after which you can just as easily reattach them without having to recalibrate the tension.
