The Monacor C-RAY/8 is an active 3-way PA speaker system that is perfect for small events. Despite its compact size and light weight, this full-range system has a power output of 400 watts thanks to its 2-channel class D amplifier. It's quick and easy to set up and ideal for solo performers, DJs or small music groups, particularly those who travel frequently. Better still, there's a 4-channel mixer built in and a range of connectors.

Assembly and sound

The C-RAY/8's clever design means that it can be quickly and easily assembled using the twist-and-lock mechanisms without the need for any extra cables or poles. The speakers can be mounted directly on top of the woofer. In total, you'll have two 8-inch woofers for the lows, twelve 3-inch speakers for the mids and two 1-inch tweeters for the highs, covering a frequency range of 50 Hz to 20 kHz. One of amplifier's channels provides 200 watts of power for the lows, while the other provides 200 watts of power for the mids and highs.

Mixer

The mixer has a range of inputs and outputs allowing you to connect things like microphones, instruments, and auxiliary devices, as well as external mixers and recording equipment. A number of controls allow you to adjust the sound, while LED status lights show you any problems. The entire system weighs just 23 kg which makes it highly portable. If you decide that 400 watts of power is not enough, you can even connect the C-RAY/8 to another system.
