Descrizione
The Meinl CAX1 is a small caxixi, which is a percussive instrument that is often used in combination with a berimbau in capoeira music, for instance. It is often used in West Africa and South America, especially in Brazil. The CAX1 is made of braided strands of rattan, which is a material that comes from the rattan palm and is found as a vine in subtropic regions, and the bottom is made of coconut. When you shake your caxixi, you will hear a high rattle, reminiscent of the sound of maracas, which makes this an ideal instrument for keeping time.
