As they're made from naturally grown gourds, every Pearl Folkloric Shekere is a bit different, which adds authenticity to each unique instrument. These types of shekeres are often used in the Cuban 'Guiro' style of music and Pearl aims to recreate that authentic, Cuban feel. The Pearl PSK-50FC Traditional Natural Gourd Shekere Uno, with its black and green beading, is the smallest of Pearl's Folkloric shekeres, and as such it produces a brighter sound than its two bigger siblings. All of them, however, are fitted with a fibreglass lining, which adds strength, volume and sustain to the instrument, and they all feature adjustable beaded netting around the body of the gourd. This unique instrument can be a fun addition to your percussive pallette!
