Out of the two new DJ controllers, the Pioneer DDJ-REV1 is aimed at fresh-faced DJs who want to experiment with different scratch and mix-battle techniques as well as have the option to share their performance with friends or via live-streams. The Pioneer DDJ-REV7, meanwhile, is the higher-end model and one of the most portable solutions for a professional DJ set-up that can replace, say, two PLX turntables and a DJM-S DJ mixer. Both controllers feature a refreshed control lay-out designed to ease scratch battles; larger platters (motorised ones for the DDJ-REV7) and long horizontal tempo sliders, plus intuitive performance pads as part of the mix-section.
