Devine is known for serving up affordable, all-around bits of kit and comes backed up by a catalogue of successful series of microphones, speakers, headphones and other pro-audio and studio gear. To expand the range, the brand now present an all-new series of seriously solid live in-ear monitors!
Mixed Up in the World of In-Ears
To build the EM Series live-in ears, Devine have collaborated with a specialised hearing-aid manufacturer that understands the importance of combining crystal-clear audio with a comfortable, properly isolated, form-fit design. Their efforts and ideology have resulted in the reliable and more-than-fair priced Devine EM Series.
Three Sub-Series
The Devine EM Series is comprised of three sub-series: the entry-level EM-200 Series, the more-advanced EM-500 Series, and the pro-grade EM-1000 Series. Extremely competitively priced, each series will be taking the fight to industry-standard models, and each model has been made using the most high-quality parts and materials needed for durability, dependable electronics, balanced sound and a comfy fit. In addition, all EM Series in-ears feature MMCX inputs for fuss-free cable-swaps and come complete with a removable TRRS cable with an in-line mike. While these solid in-ears are mainly designed for (semi-)professional on-stage use, they can also be used for more casual listening at home or on the road. A range of more in-ear focussed mini-TRS cables will be available soon.
Each EM pack also includes a storage case, cleaning tools, and various ear-tips in different sizes. Once you find the type and size that feels the most comfortable for you, simply pick up a pack of spares whenever any old eartips need replacing.
The Best EM In-Ears for You
The three EM sub-series differ in terms of technical features. The entry-level EM-200 Series features one dynamic driver per in-ear, while the EM-500 and EM-1000 models feature a single dynamic driver and the support of additional balanced armature (BA) drivers. BA drivers - not to be confused with bass drivers - reduce the load for the dynamic driver by covering a limited part of the frequency range, enabling the dynamic driver to maintain sonic balance and deliver tighter lows.
The EM-500 Series models feature one dynamic driver and one BA driver per side, turning them into a 2-way system. The EM-1000 Series in-ears take it one step further and include one dynamic driver and three BA drivers, finishing a fully-fledged 3-way system.
Protected by a non-transparent, moulded housing, the EM-200 Series live in-ear monitors are available in black, white and blue, while the EM-500 Series comes in light and dark versions with a transparent design that allows you to see the internal components.
To finish, the EM-1000 Series models sport a transparent design and, depending on your taste, come adorned with a stunning silver or gold 'faceplate'. Each example is an ultra-practical, style-packed jewel crafted for on-stage use.
