Epiphone Unleash the New Prophecy Guitar Series!
To sweeten up the tail-end of 2020, Epiphone introduce their Prophecy Series guitars. Every model has been honed, sharpened, and freshened up, so we're treated to an upgraded Les Paul, SG, and even a Flying V. The chocolate sprinkles on top come in the uncompromising form of the Extura: An elegant and modern Frankenstein's monster that blends all the best bits of the Explorer and Futura.
Plug & Slay!
Just as with the previous range, rock and metal guitarists are being spoilt by a generous fistful of fiercely modern upgrades. So, every model has been mounted with a set of insanely potent Fishman Fluence humbuckers backed up by a tone pot that can toggle through multiple voicings, including a Burstbucker PAF-style tone. In terms of hardware, you're getting the ultra-reliability of a set of Grover Locking Rotomatic machine heads, a solid LockTone Tune-O-Matic with Stop Bar, and a Graph Tech NuBone nut.
A Glimpse of the Future
As much as the Prophecy Series models have been tweaked and modernised, Epiphone have been careful to retain the classic looks as originally developed by their parent company, Gibson. Iconic styling and colour finishes including classic black, an original red, purple, blue, and yellow-tiger high-glosses are on offer, some including the refinement of a thin veneer top layer of AAA flamed maple for extra depth. Other welcome details include the SlimTaper neck that comfortably supports solid riffs and ninja-quick solos, completing a range of instruments that keep one foot placed firmly in the tried-and-tested past, while the other kicks far out into the future.
