The EVH Wolfgang Line-Up: Majestic, High-Spec Models
Designed by none other than the late, great Eddie Van Halen and named after his son, the Wolfgang is deeply imbued with the legendary guitarist's spirit as well as Eddie's contributions to the electric guitar as we know it today.
Meet the Pack: The Wolfgang Standard, Special and MIJ Series
So every guitarist gets to experience the sound and feel of a real Wolfgang, EVH serve up various different models, the most accessible of which is the Wolfgang Standard. Even though it's the entry-level model, the Wolfgang Standard comes with a stable roasted maple neck that's been finished with oil for an extra-fast feel. The step-up from there is the Wolfgang Special: a tour-grade workhorse that features a tightly carved top complete with body binding, a Floyd Rose bridge, and a built-in D-Tuna so you can switch to drop-D tuning in an instant. Then there's the MIJ Series Wolfgang. Released earlier this year, this Japanese-made flagship model is outfitted with a dark ebony fretboard lined with stainless steel frets and features a killswitch for shaping staccatos and stutter effects.
