The Roland V-Drums V71: The New E-Drums Flagship
It's not easy to step into the shoes of the mother of all drum modules, the TD50x, but with the V-Drums V71, Roland actually introduces the new sheriff in town. Featuring a lightning-fast trigger response and super-detailed, multi-trigger pads, this new electronic drum kit module is on par with its predecessor, but it also piles on DW Soundworks software integration, which is where it goes two steps further. Moreover, it comes with new V-Drums kits!
The Roland V-Drums V71 Module
The entire sound library built into the V71 module stems from the DW SoundWorks platform. Right out of the gate, you get a broad collection of ready-made kits, and things get even better when you wirelessly connect the module to the SoundWorks server to gain access to an immense, ever-growing collection of drums and cymbals.
Roland V-Drums Kits and Pads
So you can make the most of every new feature that the V71 module has to offer, Roland has developed several new pads: a PD-14DSX snare drum pad with a throw-off lever and the PD-10X and PD-12X tom pads, which boast an extra-flat design and elegant die-cast hoops. New pads also means new kits, and that's where the VAD716 is presented as the top-of-the-line model, featuring real wooden shells, a mechanical VH-14D hi-hat, and the new PD-14DSX snare drum pad.
The new kits:
- The VAD716: The Flagship Electronic Drum Kit with Real Wooden Shells
- The TD716: Electronic Drum Kit with New PD-10X and PD-12X Tom Pads and an 18-inch Kick
- The TD713: The Most Affordable and Compact V71-Based Electronic Drum Kit
