Thanks to the Apple Camera Connection Kit, transferring photos and videos from your camera to an iPad has never been as easy! The Apple Camera Connection Kit can do more than the name suggests. It also allows you to connect other devices with a USB port to your iPad via the USB port connector.

Two options
This Connection Kit provides two ways of importing photos and videos: you can do it via a USB port or via an SD card reader. The first goes as follows: you enter the camera connector into the dock connector of your iPad, subsequently you connect your camera or iPhone with a cable. The latter only requires the use of the SD card reader in order to directly import files from your camera's SD card. Enter the camera connector with SD card reader in your iPad and put an SD card in the card reader.

Photo app
If you connect the Camera Connection Kit to your iPad, the photo app is instantly opened. You can select which photos, videos or a selection of these you want to import and subsequently you can indicate in which albums the files need to be placed. During the synchronisation of your iPad with a computer, the photos of your iPad are automatically added to your photo library.

Versatile
You can also connect other devices than a camera. Examples of such devices are all kinds of accessories that require no drivers for Mac, like Core Audio and Core MIDI: sound cards, MIDI keyboards, DJ controllers, etc. All in all, this Apple Camera Connection Kit is a very versatile tool!
