Electro Harmonix is well-known for its excellent effect pedals for guitar. In addition to its classic distortion and reverb models, the renowned manufacturer also regularly issues pedals that are less conventional and produce the most bizarre musical sounds. Pedals for studio applications and experimentation are also part of the EHX collection. The EHX Clockworks is a rhythm generator and synthesizer that has been modelled after the popular Clockworks rhythm generator from the 1970s. Check out the video to get an idea of the possibilities.
Reissue
The Electro Harmonix Clockworks rhythm generator is a faithful reissue of the beloved EHX classic from the 1970s. The handy device can be used as a master clock for sequencers and drum machines, or to control electronic percussion devices such as the EHX Crash Pad Classic drum synthesizer. The Clockworks does not produce sound, but creates patterns that can be used to control other equipment. It is also capable of setting the tempo for a drum machine or a sequencer. Wat een leuk en handig apparaat. Ik gebruik m met boss dr pad drumpads. Die kun je triggeren.
Dus op deze manier kun je behoorlijk intuïtief beats maken Heel flexibel en snel

Geweldig en veelzijdig apparaat voor uptempo dance-achtige ritmes maar ook ideaal op een lager tempo voor ambient soundscapes. Om analoge synths en drums aan te sturen, maar ook leuk om op exp. aansluitingen van je fx-pedalen of antieke toongeneratoren aan te sluiten en te varieren met de ritmes.
Na een beetje gepruts kun je er ook speelgoed-keyboardjes enzo mee aansturen, bijna alles dat normaal op een schakelaartje (aan/uit oid) reageert, doet het ook op de pulsjes van dit ding. Hij mag van mij nog wel wat uitgebreider, 8 kanalen en met de mogelijkheid tot meer maatvariaties, derden of driekwart et c.
Ik ga ook nog experimenteren met het aansturen van mechanische spulletjes, zoals het triggeren van een klokkenspel met pulsjes (mogelijk met vesterkt voltage om een vibro-element aan te sturen).
