Fender Acoustic Junior GO 100W Acoustic Guitar Amplifier
Descrizione
The tight, leather-bound form of the Fender Acoustic Junior GO is powered by a rechargeable battery and has been built to offer the roaming street-musician a tone-shaping performance buddy. On a full charge, this combo amp gives you up to five hours of playing time before it needs connecting to a power socket. The 100 Watt capacity gives you more than enough volume to reach the people over there, across the street, especially since the cabinet is fitted with a tilt-back kickstand so the speaker can be aimed up and fully projected.
The Acoustic Junior GO: Effects, Looping, Accompaniment, and Recording
Since this combo provides two combi jack/XLR inputs, it's also able to amplify vocals as well as an electro-acoustic guitar - or even two vocals or two electro-acoustics. Shape the sound using the three-band equaliser then pick out one of the eight built-in effects to pack the lot with atmosphere. A 60-second looper also comes included so you can add layers upon layers to your performance, and if you use backing tracks, you can wirelessly link up a Bluetooth capable smartphone or tablet or simple connect it to the mini-jack stereo input. Two XLR outputs have also been fitted for eased on-stage PA connection, alongside a USB port for direct connection to a laptop or desktop for flawless recordings.

I normally use a Roland AC-33, which I really love because I provides the absolutely perfect sound for my western guitars as well as the classical nylon. However, I wanted a second, bigger acoustic amp for live performances as the Roland AC-33 ist just a little bit too small for a larger room or outdoor performances. My choice fell on the Fender Acoustic Junior Go because of the very handy built in Li accu feature.
Maybe its because I am not really a Fender guy but I wasn't happy with the sound. Its too boxy and too tight for my taste. I sorely missed the vibrant, clear definitions of the Roland. Furthermore, Fender built a number of effects into the amp, however, its just not understandable to me that its not possible to select the reverb and the chorus at the same time. What were the folks at Fender thinking.....no idea, but it looks to me like this amp was conceptualised to be sold in large volumes to beginners. In my humble opinion, any decent acoustic amp has to have a Chorus and a Reverb built in and available to be used concurrently. Instead, Fender added a number of additional effects that may be useful once in a decade, such as an echo. What's more, the quality of the effects are not the same level as the Roland. Especially the chorus sounded a bit artificial to me and didn't give me anything close to the bright, shimmering tone that Roland/Boss have.
What I did like about the amp is that it did have the built-in accu and that it provides 100 Watts in a compact format, and the built in looper (for which you really need a foot pedal to be useful, which you need to buy separately at a price). If you don't care as much about the sound as I do and you need to quite a bit of power for larger venues or outdoors this Amp actually could be a good choice for you.
I have sent back the Fender amp and I am going to try the Boss Acoustic Singer now. With Boss and Roland being the same company my hopes are high that I get the sound from the Roland in a bigger amp.
