The Marine Band Classic features a pear wood comb that's been carefully sealed in lacquer to increase moisture resistance and prevent warping. The reed plate has been made from copper and finished with twenty copper reeds which here, are tuned in Bb. All of this is protected by stainless steel cover plates engraved with the iconic Marine Band stamp, retaining a traditional look, while the combination of pear wood with copper produces naturally warm yet expressive and raw notes, and irresistibly rich, full chords.
