Bearing the tight, travel-ready build of the Cordoba Mini Series, the Cordoba Mini II Bass EB-E electro-acoustic bass features the same 580mm scale length and a smaller yet deeper body to result in a more compact instrument and comfy playability. Finished with subtle flair, the design of this little bass combines striped ebony and dark hardware with a light solid spruce soundboard and an inlaid abalone soundhole rosette.
Acoustic & Amplified
The natural acoustic sound of this model is warm and surprisingly intense, framing round note definition and balanced clarity. Plug it in, and the integrated Cordoba MB103 is activated to deliver a rich and robust amplified sound with a wide range and long sustain. No external tuner is needed, since one has been neatly built into the preamp control panel alongside tone and volume controls. The Cordoba Mini II Bass EB-E electro-acoustic bass comes with pre-installed D’Addario EXPPBB190GS phosphor bronze strings with a nylon core and a 32mm spacing at the nut.

Alles netjes en snel geregeld qua levering en verpakking.
De bas kwam netjes afgesteld binnen, dus gelijk goed bespeelbaar.
Sowieso is Cordoba een mooi merk; goede bouwkwaliteit en afwerking.
Onversterkt komt de bas qua volume ook goed mee met samenspel met andere akoestische instrumenten.
Kortom: goede koop; word je blij van!

Meest spannend: Zou ie akoestisch voldoende volume hebben? Het is natuurlijk een klein ding, de klankkast is de helft zo groot als van een flinke western gitaar, maar toch komt er best wat geluid uit. Met een ukelele en samen zingen is een prima combinatie, net als met de elektrische piano (volumeknop :-)). Wil je bij het kampvuur meekomen met een western gitaar dan moet je slim zijn met waar en hoe hard je de snaar aanslaat, en welke tonen je kiest. De lagere snaren geven een harde klank als je ze fingerpickt op een paar centimeter van de brug. Je gaat vanzelf iets actiever spelen en meer hoge nootjes laten meeklinken. Heel inspirerend eigenlijk. De nylon snaren met bronzen windsels zijn te gek. Ingeplugd klinkt deze bas ook prima, veel donkerder en steviger dan je zou denken. Het is een goed gemaakt instrument, fijne hals, zelfs voor mijn grote handen, mooi om te zien. Korte mensuur, dus lage snaarspanning, betekent wel dat er veel bijgeluidjes kunnen zijn. Vind ik wel prima, maar jij misschien niet. Ik dacht dat deze bas leuk zou zijn met een plectrum, maar met de vingers is toch veel leuker. Eens met vorige reviewer: Does it spark happiness?
