The '80s turned out to be an enormously defining decade for ESP. The guitars and basses they produced throughout that particular period planted their name firmly on the map and now, classic rock lovers the world over are invited to enjoy the refreshed and reissued 1987 range. The ESP LTD Surveyor '87 is one such instrument and, while it may look simple, its component are anything but basic. This long scale bass comes with an alder body fitted with a maple neck with ebony fretboard and mounted with a Gotoh 201-B4 bridge. Its universally recognised P-style shape is dressed in white with black accents offered by the scratchplate and hardware, giving it a tight finish overall. Meanwhile, two Seymour Duncan Vintage single coils (one Jazz and one P) shape a warm, balanced, distinctive and dynamic sound completed by a thick layer of vintage sauce.
