This 5-string SR1345B from Ibanez' outstanding Premium Series has undoubtedly been crafted to satisfy the most critical professional bass players out there and comes at an unexpectedly solid price. Ibanez certainly didn't cut back on quality for the build and have used African mahogany for the body, panga-panga for the top and a mix of purpleheart and panga-panga for the neck, all of which result in a rich and balanced blend of tonal warmth and clarity. Two Big Single pickups from the renowned Nordstrand carefully maintain these sonic characteristics while opening up powerful single-coil sound. Meanwhile, amazingly versatile active tone controls make the SR1345B into a flexible instrument with the perfect tone for any situation, not to mention the addictive playability of the comfortable Atlas-5 neck and Premium Fret Edge-treated frets. Klank is uitstekend, doch het QA kaartje dat volledige inspectie verzekert is mijn inziens een farce.
Bij ingebruikname stel ik vast dat de hals met halspen moest worden bijgesteld.
De actie van de snaren waren meer dan een mm te hoog.
De brug instelling moest ook worden bijgesteld omdat het octaaf op de 12 de fret meer dan 10 punten afweek
Tot overmaat van ramp blijken de potmeters voor de klankregeling ondermaats te zijn. De stop in de middenstand is niet waarneembaar. De midrange pot kan niet nauwkeurig ingesteld worden wegens een interne slip.
Onaanvaardbaar voor het label “premium”
