Built in the USA with an exacting eye for detail, the Ernie Ball Music Man StingRay5 Special is a five-string ground-shaker designed to meet the demands of the more discerning bassist. Redesigned from the ground up, the body of this next-gen bass has been treated to re-refined contours and loaded with a lightweight set of machine heads to ensure outstanding balance and improved playing comfort.
The StingRay 5 Special
The StingRay 5 Special has been mounted with a potent Neodymium humbucker backed up by the thick, solid output and extra headroom provided by an 18V active preamp complete with three-band EQ. This bass is anything but one-sided, and is able to span a staggering tonal range, and this level of sonic versatility is only matched by the butter-smooth playability of the special oil-and-wax blend coating that's been applied to the back of the roasted maple neck. This pro-grade instrument comes complete with a case.
