The Sire Marcus Miller M4-5 Swamp Ash places tight modern design within reach of those with a more modest budget. Contemporary shaping, playability and amplified sound. The incredibly stable laminated C-profile neck sits sung in the hand while the shape of the swamp ash body ensures effortless access to every one of the 24 medium frets along the beautifully dark ebony fretboard. This 4-string version comes with a 34-inch scale length.

The Marcus Miller M5 Swamp Ash: Modern and Versatile Amplified Sound

The ash body provides a darker tonal character with a softened midrange and tightened basses and trebles. To give this foundation sound the prominence it deserves, two Marcus Pure Humbucker Advanced pickups are fitted and controlled by a Marcus Heritage-3 Preamp, so that the sound can bend to the will of pretty much any playing style. For more modern work, the active circuit of the M5-4 can be used and tweaked by the three-band EQ with detailed control over the mids, while, for something a touch more organic, it can be flipped back to passive and brought to taste with the tone pot. To finish, a Marcus Miller Heavy Mass Custom is also mounted.
