Gretsch continues to provide drummers with beautiful, high-quality drum kits, available in various configurations and colours. The Catalina Club 2014 series offers this four-part Satin Walnut Glaze shell set, which features the same characteristics as the classic jazz drum kits from the 1950s, enabling you to create a compact and original jazz setup.
Gretsch Catalina Club 2014 Satin Walnut Glaze: The Genuine Gretsch Sound
The shells of this four-part shell set are made of 7-ply mahogany, a wood type that ensures a warm sound and optimal resonance. Aided by their 30-degree bearing edges, the mahogany shells produce the unique sound that Gretsch is known and loved for. Equipped with a traditional 18-inch Be-bop bass drum, this set is not only suited for jazz, but can also be used for many other types of music. The Catalina Club 2014 Satin Walnut Glaze has a nicely compact design, which makes it ideal for small gigs and rehearsal sessions.
New Features
The Catalina Club 2014 Satin Walnut Glaze shell set sports a number of new features. It is fitted with Catalina mini lugs and the bass drum is equipped with a round badge-style clamp with memory lock. The new Catalina tom brackets of the 2014 drum kit series feature improved, great-looking T-shaped wingnuts and offer room for an optional 7/8-inch cymbal arm. All Gretsch hardware is made of durable metal, and the floor tom is equipped with three adjustable legs, which are fitted with rubber anti-slip caps.

Prima jazz setje, zeker voor de prijs! Ik heb de set al jaren en nog nooit spijt van gehad. De bas en toms klinken uitstekend en ondanks dat ze weinig lugs hebben (de kleine tom heeft er maar 5) blijven ze goed op spanning. De set is erg veelzijdig en makkelijk te stemmen; van een allround clubset tot vintage jazz. De hardware is stevig en de finish is elegant. De snaredrum is niets bijzonders, dus die heb ik vervangen door andere opties.
Erg leuke Jazz kit van Gretsch. De losse tom ophanging zorgt voor een optimale klank. De hardware is zeer mooi afgewerkt waardoor het drumstel hoge ogen gooit voor een prima prijs. Deze kit is ook handig voor thuis gebruik de kleine bassdrum zorgt ervoor dat de buren veel minder van het drummen mee krijgen. Een aanrader!
Mooi jazzkitje voor een prima prijs. Ik ben er blij mee:)

Was looking for small fairly portable kit with a view to playing jazz. Had read numerous reviews on the Catalina 2014 with 18" bass drum. Really pleased with kit which lives up to the reviews and very competitive price from Bax. Very prompt dispatch and good courier service. In a word "delighted" with Bax.
