Tama's years of experience as a manufacturer of drum kits clearly shines through in their Imperialstar series, which combines the use of high-grade materials with affordable prices. The IP52KH6-BK is a highly complete drum kit, consisting of five shells, a set of cymbals and their required stands, an Iron Cobra bass drum pedal and a drum throne. This standard rock kit is a great fit for both beginners and advanced players.

The core of this kit consists of a 22 x 18-inch bass drum, with a 10 x 8 and a 12 x 9-inch tom mounted on top of it with the MTH-600 tom holder. Then there are the 16 x 14-inch floor tom and the 14 x 5-inch snare drum. All shells are made of six plies of poplar and feature a black wrap. This wrap is glued to the entirety of the shells, not only giving them a professional, sleek look, but also minimising the impact to their resonance. Their sound is further enhanced by the use of Tama's specially Precision Bearing Edges and redesigned Imperialstar lugs.

Cymbals and hardware

Included, you'll find a three-piece MCS cymbal pack by renowned cymbal manufacturer Meinl, which contains a pair of 14-inch hi-hat cymbals, a 16-inch crash and a 20-inch ride. You can mount these cymbals on three (also included) sturdy, durable and easy-to-use stands (straight, boom and hi-hat). The toms will feel right at home on Tama's tried-and-true tom mounting system, which is easy to adjust, but also provides the toms with plenty of stability, while allowing them to resonate freely. The special Accu-Tune bass drum hoops are also very reliable, and they make sure your bass drum stays in tune for much longer.
