Properties of the Rycote Cylone

This enormous windshield (a.k.a a 'blimp') offers space for numerous mics. Its interior has a shock-mount which is designed to hold your microphone securely. 3D-Tex

The windshield's texture is designed to keep wind noises out, but allow what you want to record to come in, loud and clear. 3D-Tex is also water-resistant, so adverse weather conditions like rain is no problem with the Cyclone. Simply allow it to dry and it can be used again straight away. Another advantage of this new material is that it lasts a lot longer than those hairy blimps.
