This isn't just any guitar. The renowned Charvel company and Guthrie Govan, one of the best electric guitarists in the world, joined forces to create what might very well be the ultimate professional electric guitar. The result of their two-year collaboration is the Charvel Guthrie Govan guitar, available in two versions, of which this is the Bird's Eye Maple edition. Bird's Eye Maple refers to the top of the basswood body, which is made of this beautifully marked material that has a subtle pattern of small round marks that are known as bird's eyes. The neck and fretboard were made of the - also chic - flamed maple.

Guthrie Govan Bird's Eye Maple: strong and stable

Naturally, sound and playability come first with this American-built San Dimas model by Charvel. First up, the bolt-on neck is made of incredibly strong quartersawn maple that is fitted with internal graphite support rods for even more stability. What's more, the wood of the neck and fretboard has been baked, making it as dry as a bone and creating a sound and feel that make it seem much older than it actually is. This guitar features a Floyd Rose bridge that is locked on one side. The locking tuners ensure optimal tuning stability.

Smooth and accurate

The Charvel Guthrie Govan has 24 very large frets that enable guitarists to make immensely smooth bends without having to worry about their fingers touching the fretboard. Additionally, the remarkably inconspicuous heel provides for an effortless reaching of the highest frets. Extra comfort comes from the compound-radius fretboard that aids pleasant chord playing and flexible solos. Lastly, your play is accurately picked up by the specially designed Charvel pickups in a versatile HSH configuration.
