The 'W' in the model name refers to the wenge neck that's been hand-rubbed with oil. Wenge is a more sustainable alternative to Brazilian rosewood and is not only exceptionally stable, but resonance-enhancing, which is why the fretboard has been carved out of this tonewood as well, before being finished with 24 stainless steel frets and a compound radius to guarantee optimum playing comfort.
