Reintroducing their most recognisable ST-style Pro-Mod axe ever, Charvel unleash the So-Cal Style 1 electric guitar. The original provided the foundation and inspiration for the countless solid-body Super-Strats that would follow, and here it's been polished off and powered-up by a fistful of welcome modern upgrades. The maple neck has been given a tried-and-trusted Speed Neck profile while the compound fretboard radius runs from 12 inches at the headstock to 16 inches at the body, so the contemporary guitarist is guaranteed a snug grip when it comes to grabbing chords and riffs, and a fluid and fast feel when weaving solos. Topping it all off is a set of jumbo frets, supporting a light touch and reduced fret-hand fatigue.

Subtle to extreme tremolo-arm tricks are backed up by the stable tuning of a Floyd Rose 1000 Series double locking tremolo bridge and a matching R1 locking nut, and just like the OG eighties model, the Pro-Mod So-Cal Style 1 comes loaded with the notoriously versatile set-up of an HSH pickup configuration. Tweaked and refreshed by none other than Seymour Duncan, the TB-6 Distortion humbuckers at the bridge and neck deliver tight full gain, while the Custom SSL-6 Flat Strat single-coil in the middle adds some medium-output, ST-flavoured beef that can be accessed in the three middle positions of the five-way selector switch.
