- Cort KX507 Multi Scale Star Dust Green 7-String Electric Guitar with Fishman Fluence Modern Pickups
Cort KX507 Multi Scale Star Dust Green 7-String Electric Guitar with Fishman Fluence Modern Pickups
Descrizione
When it first dropped in 2018, the Cort KX500MS Multi-Scale shook things up by offering supreme, hyper-modern playability for a more reasonable price. Now, the Cort KX507 Multi Scale takes things even further. The mahogany body of this seven-string revolution comes topped with a stunning slice of poplar burl, giving every example a genuinely exclusive finish, while the five-piece maple and purple heart neck lays down unshakable stability, and here, comes complimented by an ebony fretboard, a next-gen Cort headstock logo and the satisfyingly aggressive KX-Series styling.
The Cort KX507 Multi Scale: Superior Playability
The multi-scale design of the Cort KX507 features a graduated scale length that sits at 25.5 inches at the higher gauged strings and 27 inches at the lower gauged strings, supporting the eased playability of a set of twenty-four fanned frets where the eighth fret forms the neutral centre point. This set up lends the lower strings a tight and comfortable, controlled feel - exactly what you want when tackling fast and complex technical work.
Expansive Options
Cort has loaded the KX507 Multi Scale with a set of active Fishman Fluence Modern humbuckers, each equipped with a traditional magnetic core to keep buzz and hum to a minimum while spitting ultra-tight and powerful tone. Extra sonic variation is supplied by a pair of push-pull switches that flip between two different voicings and toggle the coil-split function, opening up an expanse of options. And to finish, the six-saddle hardtail bridge provides a stable base and guarantees pure intonation.

Yes, Yes, Yes!!!
You want this. At this price, this is the perfect metal machine.
If they'd put a bone nut on, it would be 100%
As is, The pick ups are phenomenal. The neck is slim and speedy. The fret finish was top class. The look is classy and awesome. The outer burst looks black on pic, but it's very dark purple which is lush. Set up out of the box was superb.
If they'd printed the name Ibanez on the top, I'd've happily paid 1200 for this, and been none the wiser. But then it came from the same exact factory that produces the Iron Label range, so... ;)
Best guitar purchase for me ever. At this price, I was dubious, thinking it must be B-stock or a con. Glad I took the gamble. Top, A-spec guitar, at awesome discount, delivered safely and on time by Parcelforce.
Thanks BAX. :)
The value of this instrument, cannot be overstated.
I will start with the only negative: the plastic nut. It's plastic, that isn't great for tone or tuning, and one slot was cut lower than the others. At this point (early) it doesn't yet seem to be an issue, but just beware you may need a new nut sooner than later.
The rest is pure gold. Well made, well finished, incredibly good looking, incredibly good sounding. The setup out the box was okay, with only minor adjustments needed. It was clearly set up to a spec sheet, not the instrument itself, but that's taken it 90% of the way there.
If you are considering this instrument, I don't think you would regret it.
Bought this on the 5th of August and arrived on the 23rd. I was initially told it was going to be 4 weeks so it arrived a little faster which is awesome.
This guitar is an absolute monster. It came set up really well, almost bang in tune, the action is perfect for me and it's a dream to play. The star is the Fishman Fluence pick ups though, they sound immense, everything you could want for a modern metal tone, but they're very very versatile as well and cleans sound wonderful.
If you're considering getting this guitar, take my word, you won't be disappointed. GET IT!
Kopen!
Bought this in 2023 but wanted to come back after plenty of time and leave an honest review;
I've not been able to put this guitar down since getting it which to me is always the sign of a great guitar. It's a proper chug machine and it plays like a dream. The tones you can get out for the fishmans are *chefs kiss*. The craftsmanship is almost perfect, the frets weren't sharp, the action was just how I like it and the intonation across the fretboard was good but needed some slight tweaking. However the nut is poor, was badly cut, it's plastic and doesn't hold tuning stability very well. However I changed this out for a graphtech and it was an instant game changer. The tuning stability is amazing now and the nut has improved the tone so I would get the nut changed if you got this guitar.
Overall, if you're thinking about getting this beast then definitely do. As it IS a beast! Just get the nut changed and you're golden. Had nothing but compliments on the playability, tone and looks.
