Epiphone Les Paul Modern Figured Caribbean Blue Fade elektrische gitaar
Descrizione
While we love a good Gibson LP, sometimes, you just need something a little more hip and little more affordable. The Epiphone Les Paul Modern Figured ticks both boxes while retaining classic features. The vintage single-cut silhouette is there, but the body has undergone the ultra-modern weight-relief treatment before being mounted with an flamed maple top and a set of transparent pots. Meanwhile, your fret hand is treated to the up-to-date Asymmetrical SlimTaper profile of the neck coupled with the contoured heel.
The Les Paul Modern Figured: Trustworthy and Then Some
The two fitted humbuckers on this Epiphone deliver all the thick growl you could ever want and are coupled with just as classic controls. Once fully dialled in and customised, this guitar can be taking a leap further by toggling the push/pull potentiometers, mercilessly splitting the humbuckers in two. As such, the LP Modern is just as capable as shimmering sparkle as it is fat chords. Keeping everything stable in the meantime is the LockTone bridge that will never threaten to shift while restringing.

I was disappointed Bax Shop didn’t bother sealing the box before sending. The Guitar was free to move around so much the strap buttons tore holes through layers of the cardboard box during transit, however luckily for me the Guitar itself arrived undamaged. For whatever reason I couldn’t fathom, all the locking tuners arrived unlocked.
This Guitar plays like a dream, it is without a doubt the finest non-Gibson Les Paul ever made, barre none, and I have played plenty over 30 years. It feels, sounds and looks like a Gibson, but at a fraction of the price. The weight relief is a lot more obvious than I was expecting, surprisingly so, feeling a lot lighter than a Stratocaster, yet incredibly well balanced. I found no faults or defects in my Guitar whatsoever. The only two gripes I have, that everybody has, was the poor dye finish going over the binding, which could have easily been rectified with simple painters tape. The other was that it arrived with the scratch plate unattached, which would be fine except Epiphone never drilled holes for you to attach it?!
But that’s it. It is a flawless Guitar, utterly mind blowing that I’d had been made in China of all places, I still can’t get my mind around that. It’s virtually identical to the Gibson counterpart save for a gloss lacquer finish instead of Nitro, and has 3 push/pull pots instead of 4. But you are getting this guitar at less than 1/4 the price of the Gibson. I would have preferred actual pearl or abalone inlays to plastic, especially as Schecter do this in the same price range.
It is exceptionally comfortable, it plays itself, and for a Les Paul “Modern”, those Pro Bucker pickups are staggeringly close to original PAF pickups. The neck pickup especially is magnificently lyrical and the coil taps surprisingly do sound like P90’s. Some YouTubers have dismantled this model and can confirm the flame maple top is REAL (not a transfer). I hope that the dye will fade over time as I found the blue portion of the top slightly more vivid than I would have liked, but that’ll probably take 20 years.
You honestly cannot go wrong with this purchase and is probably the single most versatile Les Paul ever made. Bax Shop are a lot cheaper than any other retailer out there, the Guitar is clearly underpriced for what it is, and it’ll arrive at your door within 3 working days. So if you’re on the fence about buying this, honestly it’s an absolute bargain. It is genuinely the top-of-the-line model in Epiphone Les Pauls by miles, get yours before Epiphone discontinue it!
Goede gitaar. Voor deze prijs is het in feite een koopje.
Wow just wow! I chose the Epiphone as I am 13 and have recently started playing the guitar, when I saw this Epiphone Les Paul in stunning Caribbean Blue fade I knew it was the one for me. The sound it produces is amazing, it looks great and is good fun to play. I can't wait to get better and learn lots of songs and effects on my new guitar.
