Epiphone SG Muse Wanderlust Green Metallic elektrische gitaar
Descrizione
With the SG Muse, Epiphone offers a refreshing twist on a classic Gibson model. This future-facing upstart of a horned solid-body boasts a lightweight double-cut shape with a highly modern metallic finish. The Muse not only makes a satisfyingly loud, clear and obnoxious statement but, since it's fitted with a C-profile neck, will comfortably fit in the palm of most if not all fret-hands. This guitar is simply made for players fully-focused on modern sound.
The SG Muse: Not Just More Brutal But More Versatile
Two double-wound pickups are proudly mounted on the face of the slick-looking Muse. This pair of Epiphone Alnico Classic Pros deliver more gain than standard humbuckers, so a little more tonal brutality can be pulled out of your amplifier and, using the 3-way pickup switch and set of four potentiometers, a wide sound spectrum can be freely explored. The utterly modern twist comes when the push/pull potentiometers are popped out, splitting the pickups for a single-coil sound or putting them into phase to further expand the already incredibly versatile tonal arsenal this guitar packs. Meanwhile, the welcome addition of the LockTone bridge not only stabilises tuning but won't threaten to shift while re-stringing.

Prachtige gitaar, compleet verliefd.
Bravo!
The first Epi I have bought for some time and I was not overly impressed. Compared with a similarly priced Squier it fell short in a couple of areas. The colour and finish is generally pretty nice, but was distinctly flawed on the front bevel of one of the horns. The set up was pretty good, but the bass side of the bridge was a bit high to eliminate fret buzz - When I get around to it a fret dress will be in order. In the meantime, it was necessary to polish the frets and reshape the fret ends to stop cutting my hands to ribbons. The electronics are pretty interesting, the coil split and phase switches, reminiscent of the Page Les Paul, give an interesting palette of sounds and the treble bleed circuit certainly maintains a good sound at lower volumes. I was a bit disappointed with the 'High output' humbuckers which only metered a modest 7.75k DC resistance at the jack. I wanted to measure them inside, but they are using a Gibson-esque plug in system. Otherwise, a nice bit of kit.
