The Fender (3-colour Sunburst) Deluxe Roadhouse Stratocaster is an electric guitar from the Deluxe series. It is a serious instrument that will last you a long time and produces those unmistakeable Fender sounds. Because this Fender is made in Mexico, its price is really very friendly. One of the remarkable features of these versatile Roadhouse models is their built-in preamp with practical V6 switch.
Classic looks and modern sounds: the Roadhouse Stratocaster
This Strat has a classic headstock and pickguard, and is equipped with three Texas Special single-coil pickups that are highly versatile with the help of the built-in preamp and V6 switch. The latter one is cleverly disguised as middle tone knob and allows guitarists to quickly choose between six powerful, clearly distinctive tone presets. You can use the S1 switch (on the volume knob) to disable the preamp and continue in a more traditional way.

Ik heb deze strat aangeschaft als back-up voor mijn Fender stratocaster HSS USA. Deze Roadhouse Stratocaster viel mij op vanwege de ingebouwde voorversterker en de V6-schakelaar. Deze zorgen er voor dat de drie Texas Special single coil-elementen een scala aan klanken voortbrengt die je niet verwacht. Daarnaast kun je met de S1-switch de preamp uitsckakelen voor de traditionele Strat-geluiden. Je hebt dus veel geluiden ter beschikking terwijl de strat er als een traditionele strat uitziet.
Evenals mijn amerikaanse strat heeft deze strat een vintage jaren '70-kop. Moet je van houden maar ik vind dit wel cool.
Door sommigen wordt wel gesteld dat strats uit Mexico minder goed zouden zijn dan de USA-varianten. Van deze versie is er bij mijn weten geen USA-variant. Deze strat speelt in ieder geval erg goed en doet naar mijn mening niet onder voor een USA-strat. Ik speel inmiddels vaker op deze dan op mijn USA-strat.
