Gretsch G5220 Electromatic Jet BT Black electric guitar

When it arrived the neck pickup was detached from its height adjustment screw on the bass side and sunken right down into the rout pocket, also when you got halfway up the neck the frets had sharp edges on bass and treble sides and all the frets needed a polish, the action was also higher than I would like. Once I had spent around 2 hours sorting all these issues out I found this to be a great guitar both in sound and how it feels to play. I have a couple of fender electrics but fancied trying something different, shorter scale length and humbucker style pickups for a heavier sound, I’m certainly not disappointed by the guitar. I don’t think the box had been opened by Bax music to check the contents or they would have seen the pickup problem straight away it was obvious. Would have been 5 stars had it not had any issues upon arrival, but in this price range you should figure in having to do some work yourself or pay to have a set up done on a guitar to make it easier to play.

Great quality. This is my first electric guitar so I’m new to playing and I don’t really know any technical terms, but it sounds and looks amazing!

Bijzonder mooie gitaar uit de vermaarde Gretsch stal. Superieure klankdefinitie, veelzijdigheid en een verbluffende prijs/kwaliteit-verhouding. Zonder overdrijven de beste gitaar die ik in meer dan 30 jaar tijd onder handen gehad heb!

Erg fijne gitaar, zeker voor deze prijsklasse. De afwerking is werkelijk foutloos en in het zwart ziet hij er prachtig uit. Ik moest de gitaar wel wat afstellen (pickups en brug wat verhoogd) maar nu speelt het perfect. Ik heb al een Tele en een SG en deze gitaar zit er qua geluid precies tussenin: mooie heldere klanken met fijne ‘twang’. maar ook vet genoeg om goed mee te rocken, ook op hogere gains. In mijn band combineert het heel goed met de Gibson Les Paul van de andere gitarist, beter nog dan de combinatie SG/Les Paul omdat het geluid van beide gitaren beter van elkaar te onderscheiden is. Een aanwinst!

vorige week de gretch elektromatic bt gekocht als voordeelpakket samen met de single cut koffer,

gitaar is goed , goede klank , ni te zwaar , ook de service in de nieuwe winkel in Antwerpen was ok , MAAR , thuisgekomen bleek de gitaar totaal niet in de koffer te passen , ondanks het als pakket word verkocht , terug naar de winkel waar we tot een oplossing zijn gekomen , maar toch raar dat dit zo word aangeboden

Je lui donne 5 étoiles sans hésiter car le rapport qualité/prix de ces séries Electromatic est tout simplement au top.



J'avais précédemment la version ProJet avec Bigsby et micro Blacktop Filtertron qui était très agréable à jouer et les sonorités très convaincantes.



Avec cette nouvelle série je ne suis pas déçu non plus, en effet ses nouveaux micros sont encore plus polyvalent et mordant dans les overdrives, j'ai choisi cette version sans vibrato car je joue plutôt du rock, garage, street-punk, psychobilly avec et elle fait le boulot sans problème.



Dans les sons clairs quel plaisir de retrouver cette sonorité propre à Gretsch pour le rockabilly et les ballades :)



Bref, encore une belle série à acheter les yeux fermés.
