Back to remind us how much cooler the '80s were, the born-again Kramer Guitars Jersey Star turns classic vibes from the days of (g)old into something you can hold, play and cherish. Strikingly opulent, the alder body of this Icon Collection electric guitar comes coated in Alpine White and decked out with gilded hardware. Meanwhile, the pearloid star inlays of the maple fretboard pour on the eighties some more, practically forcing you to keep a can of hair spray and a pair of lycra tights handy while you melt faces.
The Jersey Star: Seymour Duncan Humbuckers
The Kramer Guitars Jersey Star is nothing short of a pure powerhouse since the snug body has been loaded with no less than three Seymour Duncan humbuckers: a pair of JBs plus a Jazz SH-2 at the neck. In addition to a Floyd Rose® 1000 double locking tremolo for those all-essential dive-bomb effects, players are set up with a 5-way pickup switch and two mini-switches that can be flipped to split the coils of the JB pickups and open up another fresh can of sounds.

Geweldige gitaar met 3 Seymour Duncans en een echte Floyd Rose! Het geluid doet mij denken aan dat van mijn Music Man Silhouette, de hals vertoont eenzelfde gelijkenis. Je kunt er dus de meest uiteenlopende hartverscheurende geluiden uit halen, zowel keihard als ingetogen. Aan de afwerking mankeert niets, geen scherpe randjes, de snaren hadden beter gekund, maar vooruit, die verwissel je toch na verloop van tijd. Vervang ze trouwens een voor een, scheelt een hoop heisa, en tijd. Kramer maakt deel uit van de Gibson groep, maar heeft anders dan Epiphone, niets mis mee, een eigen smoel.
